Milwaukee Composite Squadron Five  Our meetings are from 6:45 to 9:45 PM just about every Wednesday night. To get to the 440th AW, exit I-94 onto College Avenue, eastbound. After two stoplights, look to the left for the main gate. Tell the guards you are looking for the CAP meeting, and they will direct you to go straight down the main road to a 'T' intersection, where you will turn right. This will take you  to another 'T' intersection, where you will go left, and then the road leads you to our building. (See map at the bottom of the page)

Milwaukee Composite Squadron 5 is commanded by Major Nick Rushizky with 20-plus years of experience in Civil Air Patrol. He is backed up by senior staff members and the cadet staff. Our squadron is active in each of the 3 missions of CAP, Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and Cadet Programs. Each Training Cycle is designed to hold a bit of each, so we can train in all of them. Squadron 5 has a rich history, being chartered for over 45 years. We strive to be the best by keeping up in our training, acting professional, and being active.

We participate in many activites each year, at the Squadron and the Wing levels. Major activites include:

• The Wisconsin Wing Cadet Competiton, which has cadets from different squadrons competing in different events including Color Guard, physical fitness, a written test, and drill, the best squadrons are given awards for their achievements.
  
• Armed Forces Weekend Open House, held at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, is an air show featuring many different types of aircraft. Milwaukee 5 provides support to the Air Force to make this weekend run better for all.
• Fort Mc Coy, one of the premier cadet activites in the Wisconsin Wing, cadets are taken to Fort Mc Coy in Western Wisconsin for a weekend of extreme fun on a real Military Base. Activies vary from year to year but have included repelling, survival training, APC rides, and others.
• Aerospace Education Weekend, this weekend is dedicated to learning about aerospace. Cadets get the chance to fly up to Oshkosh in C-130's which are real military aircraft. Activites include watching AE movies, building Model Rockets, mini hot air balloons, paper airplanes, delta darts, and many more. It is a very educational weekend and tons of fun.
  

These are just some of the activites we participate in and different ones occur year to year, but we try to be as active as possible in order to be a useful squadron and to have fun.
