• Cost: $60 - includes Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch.

• This training is to gain new specialty qualifications only. There will be TWO training tracks: Missions Communications and Mission Base Staff. 

• IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have all the prerequisites completed for a qualification in order to be registered. Visit the MBSA website to view a list of prerequisites. Note that "Commander approval of prerequisites

• Mission Communications Track:

  • Basic Communications - Qualify as a Mission Radio Operator and a Mission Staff Assistant! These are the fundamental qualifications needed to work as part of an Incident Command Post team. Only 20 slots are open!

  • Advanced Communications - For experienced mission communicators looking to qualify as a Communications Unit Leader. Prerequisites: MRO qualification and completion of IS100, IS200, IS700, and IS800. Only 3 slots are open.

• Mission Base Staff:

  • This track is for members looking to gain an advanced mission base staff qualification. The list of available specialty qualifications is below:

    • Air Operations Branch Director
    • Ground Branch Director
    • Finance/Admin Section Chief
    • Logistics Section Chief
    • Operations Section Chief
    • Planning Section Chief
    • Liaison Officer
    • Public Information Officer
    • Safety Officer
    • Incident Commander

Specialty qualification sessions may be cancelled if there is insufficient registrations/interest.

How to Register

• Review the prerequisites. If you do not meet the minimum requirements your registration will be put on hold. 
• After reviewing the prerequisites, click on the registration button below.
• If you haven't registered via this system before, you will need to set up an account first. To do that, click on "New individual registration for Wisconsin Wing Civil Air Patrol" near the bottom. If you have registered before then you can simply log in and proceeds with registering for the MBSA.
• Please select the rating you wish to register for and select an alternate rating in the event training cannot be held for your primary selection.
