Cadet Development Course

Wisconsin Wing is excited to announce the Cadet Development Course is back for 2026!

The Cadet Development Course is an exceptional second-year encampment option for cadets, providing a hands-on leadership experience and curriculum, preparing students to be leaders within their Squadron and the Wing. Serving in rotating staff positions throughout the week, students will gain valuable insight and experience in how to lead and manage a Flight, instruct others, and take their next steps in their cadet careers as leaders in our organization. Cadet Development Course will also provide a number of experiences exploring what Civil Air Patrol has to offer, building excitement for their continued involvement and growth. Cadet Development Course is targeted to those cadets who have already attended their basic encampment but are either too junior in age or grade, or not yet ready to take on the challenge that Wisconsin Cadet Academy might provide.
